Open World Level Designer on Far Cry 5
  • Researched real world locations for reference themes, art intentions and layouts. Chose locations best suited for interesting gameplay and began prototyping location layouts.
  • Constructed and developed “Outpost” locations from scratch. Envisioned and worked in synergy with Level Artists to execute a shared vision of the space. Starting with 2D photoshop, to greyblock, through prototyping basic gameplay intentions, flow, implementing themes, narrative, AI, and so on..
  • Designed and setup AI(NPC) interactions, behaviour, narrative, patrol paths, animations, cover spots, traversal routes, themes.
  • Implemented creative ways to challenge the player while having an attuned sensitivity to the difficulty and balance of the location.

Baron Lumber Mill

The Baron Lumbermill was a key location in the northern region of the Far Cry 5 open world. It served as a hub for key NPC quests and storylines.
